This plan is for a tough, flexible and versatile dual axle box trailer in a range of sizes from (8 x 5 ft.) 2400×1500. (9 x 5 ft.) 2700×1500. (10 x 5 ft.) 3000×1500. The Subframe is of strong RHS with plenty of support using 4 cross members. The body can be purchased at most trailer suppliers.

Product Description

With the plans, you will be able to build your own trailer, as there are so many options available with guard and side gussets, different tandem mudguard shapes and box kits ranging from a height of 300 mm – 520 mm.


Drop Tailgate, Tie Rails and Front and Rear Side Gusset to maximize the strength in this Tandem Box Trailer.


A View of Roller Rocker Suspension being used in this Trailer, and depending of the weight rating required whether the use of single or dual axle Braking being used.


A support bar helps to support the tandem Mudguard and allows the wiring to be placed inside the SHS to the Clearance Lights.


This Trailer utilizes 4 Cross Members to give the floor heaps of support, plus a roomy 1500L x 400W x 400H Toolbox.


Checker Plate or other steel sheets like Galvanize steel can be used to build the trailer.

Rear Mudguard Gussets and Tail Light protectors, along with a simple hinge setup on the tailgate.


This Trailer can be built with several size wheels e.g. 13’’,14’’, 15’’.


The plans conform to the Australian National Code of Practice – Building Small Trailers (VSB1). Trailers built to comply with this code of practice can be registered for on-road use in Australia
